Sevier Lake Basin
Observed flows over the Sevier Lake Basin were much below average for the
April-July period. Early season snowpack was near average over most of the
basin. The snowpack remained below average throughout the winter and spring
season. The largest increase in the snowpack occurred between February and
March. Warm dry conditions developed toward the late spring and snowpack
conditions dropped to much below average by late April.
Observed flow fell below the most probable forecast in most
instances but fell within the 10% and 90% exceedence boundaries. Forecasts were
increased between February and March as a result of the aforementioned increase
in the snowpack conditions.
Current data are unavailable for the numerous diversions existing in the Sevier Lake Basin.
Therefore natural observed flows within the Sevier Lake Basin are subject to question.
