Great Salt Lake Basin
Above to much above average runoff volumes were observed throughout the Great Salt Lake Basin for the April-July period. Forecasts issued between February and June did not fluctuate greatly from those issued in early January due to the consistent above average level of the snowpack throughout the period. Early January snowpack was near 180 percent of average and fluctuated slightly higher and lower through the later winter and spring months and was near 160 percent of average in early May.
Observed flows were within the 10 and 90 percent exceedance values at most locations and near the most probable forecasts in many instances.
