Water Supply Outlook Summary


Early season forecasts issued January 1st indicate that below to much below average April-July runoff is expected in the eastern Great Basin. In the Sevier Lake Basin volumes are forecast to range from 60-90 percent of the 1961-90 average, with 55-85 percent forecast in the Great Salt Lake Basin. January 1st snowpack ranges from 40-80 percent of average in the Great Salt Lake Basin and is slightly higher in the Sevier Lake Basin generally ranging from 50-90 percent.
