San Juan River Outlook

Wet, cool weather during the first half of April resulted in an increase in the San Juan mountain snowpack. Warm weather during the last ten days of April caused snowmelt across the basin. By May 1, the snowpack had increased 15% since April 1, consequently, most forecasts have increased from a month ago with the exception of the La Plata and Florida Rivers. Current forecasts range from 59 -122 % of the 1961-1990 average flows.
