 SAN JUAN RIVER BASIN SPRING FLOOD POTENTIAL OUTLOOK

Flood related issues due solely to snowmelt runoff are not expected in
the San Juan Basin this season.

Dry conditions during the spring period and below average snowpack have
combined to yeild below average peak flow forecasts.

Any potential for flood issues would be due to heavy rainfall events
that would enhance streamflow during the peak runoff period.
