Water Supply Outlook Summary


Below to much below average spring runoff volumes are expected in the eastern Great Basin. Forecasts were increased slightly from those issued last month in the Great Salt Lake Basin while those in the Sevier Lake Basin remained the same. Runoff volumes are forecast to range from 65-95 percent of the 1961-90 average in the Great Salt Lake Basin and 60-90 percent of average in the Sevier Lake Basin. The snowpack increased during January and as of February 1st ranges between 70-90 percent of average in most areas.
