Water Supply Outlook Summary


Although still below average, forecast April-July runoff volumes for the eastern Great Basin increased significantly over those issued in early February. As of March 1st runoff volumes are expected to range from 65 to 90 percent of the 1961-90 average in the Great Salt Lake Basin and 60 to 85 percent of average in the Sevier Lake Basin. February, like January, was very wet and an increase in the snowpack was observed. As of March 1st snowpack ranges from mostly 70 to 100 percent throughout the eastern Great Basin.
