Gunnison and Dolores Rivers Outlook


In April, precipitation was much below average. However, streamflow was mostly above average due to early snowmelt from above average temperatures. The snowpack decreased from near average on April 1 to much below average on May 1. Although the peak snowpack this year was near average throughout most of the basin, flows are expected to range from 58-85% of average.
