Gunnison and Dolores Rivers Outlook


May weather over the Gunnison and Dolores River Basins was warmer than normal with near average precipitation. Most of the snowpack melted during the month resulting in near normal flows in the basin for May. With two months left in the runoff season and very little snow left to melt, the April to July volume forecasts were lowered 5% from those issued May 1.
