Following a cool beginning to May, the month was then characterized by average to slightly above average temperatures and normal precipitation conditions. Consequently the snowpack has melted rapidly and few recording stations show any snow left as of June 1. Basinwide snow is currently at 43% of average while monthly streamflow was nearly 150% of average. Volume forecasts range from 59% - 125% of the 61-1990 average. The median forecast out of 13 points is 115% of average.
